This is something I've tried for the last couple days. I read the book several years ago at the urging of one of my "counselors" (therapists). It's a little...ok a lot new-agey, but it shouldn't be dismissed. After just a couple days, I really think there's something to this "morning pages" thing. I'll also post a link to her site.
